The Vapezilla is a whip style vaporizer that has performed well in the past. Recent models have undergone a manufacturing change and now the unit suffers from slow heat up times, noise, and other inconveniences.

vapezilla_vaporizer_bigThe Vapezilla and the SuperVapezilla are whip style vaporizers that impressed many people in several competitions. Both models are forced air convection machines made by Wicked Roots, the only difference being the Super has digital controls and readout. Unfortunately that is as super as these machines get due to inferior manufacturing techniques that are being used for the current versions being sold. Many Vapezilla’s now feature an underpowered heating element, the primary component of a vaporizer, contributing the long heat up times and less durability.

If you want to purchase a Vapezilla make sure you pay special attention to the heating elements. Recent production changes mean that it may have a smaller ceramic heater which can take up to 20 minutes to reach herbal vaporization temperatures, especially in cold weather. The box construction also means that cool down times are long meaning this device results in extended sessions. Not long sessions just enjoying vapor but time spent waiting. The machine does eventually reach adequate temperatures and produce effective vapor after the wait.

There are reports of user modifications that can be done to improve some of these issues but that requires some dis-assembly and tinkering. For the price of the Vapezilla their are other vaporizers available that do not require any tool kit alterations to function well. If you come across the earliest Vapezilla vaporizers you are in for a good experience as they are high quality devices. Be wary of anything with the newer smaller heating element. If the vaporizer has a multi holed heating element it is an older quality model, otherwise it should be avoided.
